Crassula ovata 'Sunset', also known by common names like Sunset Jade Plant, Sunset Crassula, or Hummel's Sunset, is a popular succulent cultivar of the classic jade plant (Crassula ovata). It is particularly prized for its striking foliage, which displays a beautiful blend of green, yellow, orange, and red hues, especially when exposed to ample sunlight. 
 
Foliage: The thick, oval-shaped leaves are bright green with edges that turn golden-yellow and red tips in sufficient sunlight.
Growth habit: This slow-growing, upright succulent can reach 3-4 feet tall, but is usually smaller indoors and can be trained like a bonsai.
Flowers: Small white or pale pink star-shaped flowers may appear in late winter to early spring, though this is less common indoors.
Ease of care: It is known for its resilience and is easy to care for, suitable for both beginners and experienced plant owners. 
Light: Prefers bright, indirect light, but a few hours of direct sunlight can enhance its foliage colours.
Watering: Water thoroughly only when the soil is completely dry, as overwatering can cause root rot. Reduce watering in winter.
Soil: Use well-draining soil like a cactus or succulent mix, possibly adding perlite or coarse sand.
Temperature: Thrives in 15-24°C (59-75°F) but should be kept above 10°C (50°F).
Humidity: Normal home humidity is acceptable.
Fertiliser: Fertilise monthly with diluted liquid fertiliser during the growing season (spring/summer). Do not fertilise in autumn and winter.
Repotting: Repot every 2-3 years in spring if needed, using a pot with drainage.
Pruning: Prune leggy growth to maintain shape and encourage branching.
Pests: Look out for mealybugs and spider mites and treat with insecticidal soap.
Toxicity: This jade plant is toxic to pets.
