The shells within the bags are unaffected, so if you don't mind imperfect packaging and hate waste as much as we do, these shells are perfect for you!

Recycled crushed, washed and dried whelk shells in a fully compostable paper bag.
 
This 18 Litre bag contains around 18-20kg of shells, and is ideal for garden borders, beds, rockeries or as an outdoor plant pot topper.
 
The crushed shells can also be used for drainage or added to soil for aeration.
It also works well as mulch and as a gentle, natural slug deterrent when a generous layer is added around the base of plants.
 
Why not add on one of our Potting Cups -The perfect tool for scooping and decanting shells and other substrates.
 
* This is a natural product from the sea. We do our best to remove any foreign material.
* 100% compostable bag made of paper, with a cotton seam.

      The crushed whelk shells were definitely crushed very nicely. - how you can have a perfectly crushed shell is beyond me!
