We don't have South facing windows, and it's difficult to get my poor desert rose outside in the summer with the right conditions.
I got this just for it, but realised some of the other succulents languishing in our house could probably do with some extra light. Now I have a small garden in my office.
It also helps to thin out the gnats when they take hold of my pets terrarium...
