A traditional French heirloom variety, Sorrel 'Large de Belleville' produces abundant crops of large, tender green leaves with a distinctive sharp, lemony flavour.

Easy to grow and highly productive, sorrel is one of the earliest leafy crops of the season, providing fresh harvests from spring through to autumn. The young leaves are delicious in salads, while mature leaves can be added to soups, sauces, omelettes and fish dishes.

This hardy perennial forms neat clumps that return year after year, making it a valuable addition to kitchen gardens, vegetable plots and herb beds.
