This paper wasp scarer is a simulated wasp nest. As wasps are very territorial insects, they usually will not build their nests within 60 m (200 ft) of another nest. When they detect an existing nest, they leave the area.
Simply hang in your garden to discourage wasps from building their nests.

Wasps nests are a regular feature of our summers. Last year there were none in the area where we hung this. Maybe coincidence, but this year we are putting them up on both sides of the property!
