A magnificent Japanese heirloom sunflower producing huge golden-yellow blooms with rich dark centres. Unlike many modern sunflowers, 'Taiyo' is pollen-rich, making it a favourite with bees, butterflies and other pollinators.
 
Growing on tall, sturdy stems, the impressive flowers can reach up to 25cm across and make a dramatic statement in borders, cutting gardens and wildlife-friendly planting schemes. The blooms are also excellent for cutting, bringing a touch of summer sunshine indoors.
