Please note that this is a mechanical timer. We have found the best way to set the timer is to wind the dial to the maximum time, and then wind it back to the desired time.
This will ensure the mechanics are wound up and will ensure that your timer makes a noise once the time is up!

Not only is this chick adorable, it's just the thing if you need super-precise timed cooking ie butter roasted pecans requiring exactly 6 minutes. Couldn't be easier to set: it's a mechanical device which you wind and wait until it makes a noise you could hear on the other side of town. Love this chick!
